Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the Montessori High School's policy on snow days?

A: Several factors are considered before calling a snow day.

The first is the safety of our students who drive themselves. Second is the proximity of our parents to the school. Many of our students come from surrounding counties, so it is not always in the best interest of our students to directly follow the closings of Fayette County Public Schools. Students and parents are notified of MHS closings, and students may stay home with an excused absence if it is unsafe for them to come to school due to weather.

Q: What should I do  if my student is late, absent, or needs to leave early?

A: Contact the school by phone at (859)-455-8064 or by email at [email protected]

Q: What services are provided by the Montessori High School to help my grad get into college?

A: Each student meets with our academic advisor to set goals for the future and make sure his or her academic needs are being met. This includes planning to meet high school graduation requirements, applying for scholarships and programs, applying for colleges, and getting help in any other areas.
